Série baseada na vida da editora da revista Cosmopolitan, Joanna Coles. Uma estagiária sonhadora que acaba de ser promovida dentro da Scarlet Magazine (uma “substituta” para a Cosmopolitan no mundo fictício da série). A série irá mostrar a relação de Jane e de vários outros funcionários com a editora-chefe.
