Star (Jude Demorest) é uma jovem durona que decide tomar controle de sua vida depois de crescer num lar adotivo. Para tanto, ela viaja para Atlanta para tentar a vida na música junto de sua irmã Simone (Brittany O’Grady) e sua melhor amiga de internet Alexandra (Ryan Destiny).
