A série conta a história sobre a família disfuncional de Frank Gallagher , um pai solteiro de seis filhos: Fiona Gallagher, Phillip Gallagher , Ian Gallagher , Debbie Gallagher , Carl Gallagher e Liam Gallagher , o único filho negro, apesar dos dois pais serem brancos.
