The Gloaming S01 – Série australiana situada na Tasmânia, criada por Vicki Madden (The Kettering Incident), escrita pela própria Madden e por Peter McKenna (The Musketeers), e dirigida por Sian Davies (Nowhere Boys), Greg McLean (Wolf Creek) e Michael Rymer (Hannibal).

Quando o corpo de uma mulher não identificada é encontrado brutalmente assassinado, as evidências encontradas no local apontam para um crime não resolvido de 20 anos atrás. O que começa com uma investigação de rotina expõe algo mais insidioso, à medida que a corrupção política e negócios obscuros se misturam com crimes sinistros e práticas ocultas.

A responsável pela investigação é Molly McGee (Emma Booth, de Glitch), uma detetive pouco ortodoxa e problemática, que precisa trabalhar com Alex O’Connell (Ewen Leslie, de Top of the Lake), com quem ela não falava havia 20 anos.

Alex cresceu em Hobart, mas após testemunhar um crime violento, se mudou para Melbourne, até ser forçado a volta para investigar o crime atual, que pode ter relação com o do passado.

Depois de tantos anos tentando deixar o passado para trás, os dois relutantemente acabam trabalhando juntos para desvendar os dois casos e têm que enfrentar os fantasmas do passado.

Ao longo das investigações, segredos aterrorizantes são revelados e aparecem vários suspeitos.
